Growing Growers: Starting a Sustainable Vegetable Farm

This microcredential will demonstrate the necessary skills required to start and maintain a sustainable specialty crop farm within or around urban areas, which complements on-farm, hands-on agricultural learning. This microcredential is offered by the Growing Growers partnership program, which seeks to provide training for beginning farmers in the region. The curriculum focuses on small- to medium-scale sustainable vegetable farming practices that are typical in the central United States.
